We take the protection of your personal data seriously and follow German and EU regulations conscientiously. This privacy policy will inform you about what kind of personal data we track, for which purposes your personal data is used, and to what extent third parties have access to your data.  

We use the following services/links on our website: Google Analytics, Facebook and Twitter. The services/links also save and/or use personal data. We explain what kind of data is saved and/or used in more detail below. We point out that we cannot influence these third parties, nor can we influence how they process your data. We have to trust the statements concerning personal data and privacy made by the third parties.

Log Files

Log files allow you to visit our website and are transmitted to us via your browser. The data transmitted via your browser is automatically saved in our server statistics.

The following data is transmitted to us via log files:

●     Referrer URL (the website you visited prior)

●     Host name of the device (IP address)

●     Date and time of the server request

●     Transmitted data volume 

The data will solely be used for statistical analysis to help us improve our security, our website and our offers. As a general rule we cannot connect individual people with the transmitted data. We do not undertake a consolidation of this data with other data sources. The data will be deleted within four weeks, once the statistical analysis mentioned above has been conducted. 

Other Personal Data when Using Our Website or Portal 

In case you provide us with additional personal data, such as name, address, or email address, we will only use this data internally. We will use this data to answer your questions, handle your requests, or provide you with access to wingu account services. 

Data Forwarding to Third Parties and Processing Data for New Purposes 

Personal data will only be provided to third parties when this is necessary for fulfilling contractual obligations or  when this is required by law in individual cases. 

In case your data will be processed for a new purpose, we will inform you of this purpose and will only use your data when you have given us your explicit consent. You can revoke your consent at any given time.

Our website uses Cookies. Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer. Through cookies we receive information which serves to enhance your user experience and/or simplifies the navigation on our website.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analysis service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (Google). Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored and saved on your device and which allow us to analyse the usage of our website. The data concerning the website usage generated by the cookie (incl. IP address) is sent to a Google server in the USA and saved there.

Our website uses Google Analytics with the addition “_anonymizeIp()”. This means that IP addresses stemming from EU and EEA are shortened prior to sending them to the Google server. This is done to prevent personal tracking. Only in exceptional cases it may happen that the complete IP address is transmitted to the Google server in the USA. In this case the IP address will be shortened in the USA.

wingu requests Google Analytics to use this information for website analysis. This analysis includes creating reports on website activities, website usage, and internet usage. Google may transmit the information to third parties where this is a legal obligation or when third parties process the information for Google. Google will not connect your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by changing the settings in your browser software. However, this might impede the correct functioning of the wingu website.

Because we do not use Facebook or Twitter plug-ins, no data will be transmitted to either Facebook or Twitter when you visit our website. However, when you click on the Facebook or Twitter icon you will be redirected to the Facebook and Twitter websites. Here your personal data will be collected and saved by the respective companies. Other Recipients 

In addition to Google Analytics, Facebook and Twitter, there are several other recipients of your personal data when you visit our website, ask a question via our “help” function, or create an account. These recipients include wingu employees (CEO, CTO, key account and sales, occasionally also our developers and quality assurance) as well as third party companies used by wingu to create the wingu platform. These third party companies and their servers are located either in the European Union or in the USA. When the third party company is located in the USA, wingu takes care to use companies that are part of the EU-US Privacy Shield. The companies include ZenDesk, Sentry, SendGrid, Logentries, Mailchimp, Heroku Postgres, Cloudflare, Cloud AMQP, Amazon AWS (RDS). 

The Right to Information, Correction, Suspension, Deletion, Complaints

We are happy to inform you about the saved personal data and where it came from. Furthermore we can inform you about who receives this data and the recipient’s purpose for saving your data. This is your right and you can request this data at any given time. Furthermore you have a right to correction of, suspension of, or deletion of, your personal data. Please send a request to [email protected] the title “data protection.”  

Should you request to have your data deleted when you have an account, please be aware that wingu may be forced to delete your account as well. wingu is not required to keep any data, therefore all data related to the account is deleted immediately and permanently. As long as your account is not deleted, wingu will keep the personal data provided by you. 

In case of a data breach, wingu will contact the customers and Data Protection Authority within 72 hours. Furthermore, a notification will be placed on our website with all necessary information.
